Wilbur de Paris - Marchin' & Swingin'
|

|
| The trombonist Wilbur de Paris tied in with the traditions of New Orlean Jazz, but he attached importance to the fact, that he did not - like many others did to reanimate the wit of past eras - tried to copy the old style. His band was traditional New Orleans style casted, but they also took elements from the swing of the 1930s. The long lasting success of his band - they were active until the middle of the 1960s - concedes a point to him. |
