| In 1917 the Original Dixieland Jazz Band rolled out the first jazz record in general. It was also the first jazz band to leap into international fame. The Music of the ODJB was completely new to the audience. With the collective improvisation of the three melody instruments and the syncopated two-beat it differed considerably from the then modern ragtime. |
